Red & Rust male
(2/3/09) Baron (formerly Biff) (update): Biff new owners have sent some new photos and an update: "Biff is such a joy! He has filled a huge void in our life since the loss of our Sophie. I continue to work with him in our park & back yard. He is responding well to commands and direction. He continues to amaze me how well behaved he is. Each trip to the park is something new…… kids on skateboards, bikes, ducks,….even an ambulance roaring by. He responds beautifully. We have also introduced him to our grandchildren, ages 3-14. Wow! He loves them as much as us. Nothing but a gentleman with the kids.
"The first night he was “exploring” around the house, but since then, he sleeps thru the entire night. Despite having access to a doggy door, he goes out to potty the next morning when I get up to make coffee. He sleeps on his floor bed next to our bed in the master bedroom. He gathers is toys around him on his bed when he sleeps.
He LOVES to play fetch………& taunts me with his ball. Although he wants to play tug with it, I don’t play his game. I won’t play until he gives it to me. He’s getting plenty of exercise & rules the backyard. No barking problems, digging, or other behavior issues. I can’t believe we are so fortunate to have found him. I hope his previous owner is “up there” watching with approval.
"He’s a big baby too. We go to the grocery store or out to eat & he actually POUTS when we come home, as though he is chastising us for leaving him. If there is any complaint, he does occasionally stick his nose into wastebaskets…but the spray bottle & “ECH”….gets his attention real quick.
"We did change his name to “Baron”……….one we felt was more noble, befitting him and his personality. I thank you sooooooo very much for allowing us to adopt Biff/Baron. Baron say’s “Hi”. "
(1/19/09) Biff: A very handsome boy who had a lot of training caught the eye of Norman and Becky who had lost their 5 year old red female Sophie to cancer just before Thanksgiving. They decided they would like to rescue a Doberman and made arrangements to come out and meet Biff. It couldn't have gone any better, Biff was the perfect dog, even laying his head in Norman's lap. Everyone knew this was the right fit, we're sure Biff has a wonderful life ahead of him.

(12/20/08): BIFF: A very sweet four year old red & rust male with cropped ears and a docked tail. His owner passed away suddenly and no one could keep this sweet boy. He's a love and seems to get along well with kids. He clearly has had some training and needs a loving family. Very handsome and energetic - needs someone who understands Dobermans. Warms up quickly and will be great for a family who will work with him.
